Don't Tread on Me silver round containing 1 Troy oz of .999 fine silver.
On the obverse features the image of the coiled snake created by Benjamin Franklin for a political cartoon in 1754. It was released with the phrase “Join or Die” to encourage the American colonies to join together in the French and Indian War. It was later used on the Gadsden flag alongside the phrase “Don’t Tread on Me.”
On this silver round the "Don't Tread on Me" is above and "Independent Living" underneath.
The reverse design depicts a sailing ship and a figure casting chests of tea into the water below with "Boston Tea Party 1773" on the ship with 1 Troy Oz .999 fine silver inscribed around the lower edge.
