2012 Australian Silver Kookaburra 1 Troy oz BU
Product Description
The Perth Mint introduced the highly popular Kookaburra series in 1990, and was the first coin in the world with a design that changed every year.
When first introduced it had a face value of 5 Australian Dollars, but in 1992 switched to $1. The coins contain 1 Troy oz of .999 fine silver, and feature proof-like finishes.
We have a limited number of the 2012 Silver Kookaburras in the mint acrylic holders. These are sold out at the Perth Mint and they have completed their 2012 production.
The 2012 Kookaburra is perched on a tree branch among eucalyptus leaves with an open beak, designed by Darryl Belloti.
