Funds raised from the sale of these commemoratives went to the National Museum of the American Indian of the Smithsonian Institution. The coin was so popular that it sold out at the Mint in 2 weeks.
This uncirculated $1 Dollar silver coin was struck at the Denver Mint. It is made the same composition and size as the old (pre-1936) Silver Dollars- 90% silver, 10% copper, 38.5mm diameter and containing 0.7734 Troy oz of silver.
Includes all original mint materials including display box, protective cardboard sleeve and certificate of authenticity.
