1999-P Yellowstone Commemorative Silver Dollar Set

1999-P Yellowstone National Park Commemorative Silver Dollar Proof and Uncirculated Set, celebrating the 125th anniversary of the America's first national park. In original mint packaging, with acrylic coin holders, box and certificates of authenticity.

The obverse design depicts one of Yellowstone Park's famous geysers, with the park's tree-lined landscape in the background. The reverse portrays an American buffalo on the plains, with a brilliant sun rising above the mountains in the background, and is intended to be reminiscent of the seal of the Department of the Interior.

Both proof and uncirculated $1 Dollar silver coins were struck at the Philadelphia Mint. They are made in the same composition and size as the old (pre-1936) Silver Dollars- 90% silver, 10% copper, 38.5mm diameter and containing 0.7734 Troy oz of silver.
