1994-S World Cup Commemorative Silver Dollar and Half Proof Set
Product Description
1994 World Cup Silver Dollar and Half Dollar Set, minted to celebrate the XV FIFA World Cup playoff. The final game was held in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
Coins are in original Mint packaging with acrylic coin holders, certificate of authenticity and box.
The Silver Dollar's obverse features two soccer players running towards a soccer ball in play, the reverse features the 1994 World Cup logo surrounded by laurel branches.
The obverse of the half dollar features a soccer player moving down the field with the ball. The date "1994" is displayed prominently in the background of the player. The reverse of the coin features the official World Cup logo surrounded by laurel branches (same as on the Dollar).
Both the $1 Dollar silver coin and the Half Dollar were struck at the San Francisco Mint. The Dollar is 90% silver, 10% copper, 38.5mm diameter and containing 0.7734 Troy oz of silver, the Half is Copper with a Nickel outer layer.
