1986 Statue of Liberty Commemorative Gold and Silver Unc Set

The Statue of Liberty was a gift from the people of France and was dedicated in 1886. When time came to restore the Ellis Island buildings and the Statue of Liberty, special commemorative Half Dollars, Silver Dollars and $5 Gold Coins were struck for fund-raising.
This is the three-coin Uncirculated set, with a $5 Gold, One Dollar Silver and Half Dollar Uncirculated coins struck at the San Francisco Mint.
The $5 gold coin is struck in 90% gold, and contains 0.2419 oz of pure gold. The Dollar is made in the same composition and size as the old (pre-1936) Silver Dollars- 90% silver, 10% copper, 38.5mm diameter and contains 0.7734 Troy oz of silver. The Half is a clad type- with the outer layers 75% Copper, 25% Nickel and the center is 100% Copper.
Coins are Brilliant Uncirculated Strikes and protected in acrylic holders, then set in a display box. Comes with Certificates of Authenticity.
