Minted to celebrate the Bicentennial, these Eisenhower Dollars from the San Francisco Mint were struck specially for collectors.
This Eisenhower Dollar Proof is a prized Variety 2 issue. Outer layers are 75% Copper, 25% Nickel, center is 100% copper, and were struck in sharp relief. It features delicate lettering on the reverse (type 2), which shows the Liberty Bell set in front of the moon. The obverse bears the dual date 1776-1976.
