1975 USSR (Soviet) Chervonetz Gold 10 Rubles coin, containing 0.2489 Troy oz of gold in a .900 alloy.
The only denomination of gold coin issued by the USSR was the 10 roubles, known as chervonetz. There were three different issues, the original in 1923, a second issue in 1925, all but one are thought to have been melted, and a third issue from 1975 to 1982.
This coin from the inaugural year is in uncirculated condition. The 1975 issue was also the lowest mintage, only 250,000 were struck.
