1947-1948 Mexico Silver 5 Pesos XF+
Product Description
1947-1948 Mexican 5 Peso silver coins. In XF-AU condition. These coins are minted in 0.900 fine fine silver, and contain 0.868 troy oz of silver each.
The obverse features the Mexican coat of arms, an eagle clutching a snake perched on a prickly pear cactus. Around the edge is “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS”.
The reverse design features Cuauhtemoc, one of the last Uey Tlatoani (revered speakers) of the Aztecs in splendid plumage and headgear. Above is the denomination “CINCO PESOS” and below "30 GRAMOS LEY 0.900" with the mintmark for the Mexico City Mint “Mo”.
